Description
Had some red tape and some black paint, made the image but it needed something more, so I created the gray area behind it by trying to figure out what to title this thing, at the time, I was reading some atheist literature and saw this little happening and thought it fit.... Most all my small and not so small works are comps and test for larger paintings.

Cliff... first let me wish you my condolences. Even though some time has past and you learn to live with it the emotional loss is always with you. I understand the work you are posting is from years past but are you not continuing to create? If not, then what gets you out of bed in the morning?

Thank you James!! I must explain something and I will be brief, my output is zip, I'm posting work from the last 25 yrs. or so, up until Nov. '09, that is when my wife passed away, she was my Muse and a true soul mate. A genuine artist to the core. we were together 24/7 from '72 to '95 when she got a job to get benefits. I have 2 incredibly beautiful and artistic daughters. Time has and is healing, my emotional baggage was that of a steamer trunk, now its a small carry on and very soon it will be a wallet and I can put it in my pocket and move on. The work I'm uploading feels like I just did it, I could pick up a brush and continue on as if time meant nothing, thats why I love abstracts, that, and art in general is an inherent part of my thinking and will be until the end. There is more to the story of course, I'm still the same person just on a different path, I used to be very prolific and I will be again very soon, I will be putting out artwork like a Whirling Dervish, so be prepared.

Hi Cliff... love both of you latest postings. I really can't put my finger on it but this one makes me think of Ben Shahn. In reading your description it makes me envious of you work flow. My work flow can only be described as complete chaos. Keep up the good work. I always look forward to your postings.
