I was heavily influenced by the elegy series by Motherwell because the almost silhouetted black shapes had some indication of being human, male, female both being affected by war, either causing it or suffering because of it. There are four main artist that have influenced my fine art painting the most, they are Motherwell, Diebenkorn, Rauschenberg and Tapies...this is a Motherwell one.
