I know its there but I didn't want to alter the photo at all, I wanted to leave the web there to show that this was not a superimposed object. I was taking pictures of the bright foliage around my house when this leaf just came down and stopped in front of me, so I took the picture.

Thank you Debra for the nice compliment and comments, I appreciate it. I just accidentally deleted my whole expression about this image, and I don't think I can remember all I said, except to say that the new owners of my house with all its beautiful tress, totally destroyed every last one. I brought the Japanese maples with us when we moved from Calif. to ct. There is way more to the story of the maples here. Needless to say, this leaf has become an 'iconic' image in the memory of the glorious beauty of what were the maples.

Hi Cliff, this one especially caught my eye, how magnificent of a capture. The leaf makes the whole work, it takes an artist to realize what a beautiful moment this one little movement is. I enjoy the way you work with the natural aspects of the world. Lovely works. I think it is wonderful that you were able to capture this so beautifully, web and all and I don't even like spiders. Scenes like this is why I love autumn. l/f/p/fb

Right, this is the sort of shot that makes you glad you were not away from your camera.

To start with I was thinking you had taken the picture as the leaf was falling to the floor because I couldn't stop looking at how red and gold the leaf is and thinking how pretty it is, so I didn't even notice the web. Then I read the title and saw the web, it's such a beautiful photo and it's amazing how strong the spiders web is!!!
