At this time, 'Me Then Me Now' fits as a Deja Vu. When I taught, I had my students do self portraits, then at the end of the term I would make copies of their work and combine them into a booklet that I designed using some of my own self portraits. I would give each person a booklet as a keepsake of their work and their classmates. I used this picture at the end, I had printed elements over the top of this image (an aircraft landing gear and the words 'see ya'), it looked like I was ready to roll on. In coming across this image again, it just seemed to fit my mind and position in life at this time. I was going to paint this, but I know it would lose any authenticity it has. The picture is perplexing to me. Why was I there, what was I doing, why was my hand to my mouth, where is that, who took the picture and why????
