Description
I have always loved Japanese calligraphy, and try to incorporate some form of it in some of my work, although this character doesn't mean any thing (I hope), it just reminded me of somebody (Billy Ruben?) getting in a sulfur yellow bath, and sulfur's atomic # is 16, and 16 has significance. Now that I look at this, it could be a Korean character because of that little circle......This is from a series I call START 'Since Then, A Return Trip'. A life altering incident happened to me November 2009. Needless to say, the creative aspect of my mind shut down, not off, the pilot light was still there. This series consist mainly of smaller works, usually done with colored pencils, ink, watercolor pencils, charcoal, crayons, acrylic and anything that can make a mark. They are of my usual fare of exploring techniques and materials, my 'what if' factor.
