Unfinished As Our Life Together Was
Artist
Cliff Spohn
Medium
Painting - Acrylic On Board
Description
I painted this the night before my wife's memorial gathering. I provided colored pencils and pens for people to write or draw what ever they wanted to say to her. I will mask each message as transparent slips of paper floating about as thoughts and prayers. She was, and is, and always will be my Muse, my keel, my true soul mate, we knew this from the first day we laid eyes and hands on each other. We raised two artistically talented and beautiful daughters. She was a true and authentic artist to the core, I envied and admired her art like no other. I became an artist when I met her, she made art real for me. I miss her so much, there are no words for it. I am posting this as part of my own grief therapy, a way to release and except. As I have been told, you never forget you just learn to live with it, so thats what I'm doing, it ain't easy and who knows were it will take me. The song, 'The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face' by Roberta Flack sums everything up for me. I miss her.......
